Resounding Joy’s very own Barbara Reuer and Megan Wong were featured in the San Diego Union-Tribune as they discussed our Semper Sound program; which recently received a $10,000 grant from the Veterans Initiatives of the Arts. This is a great honor as we are one of 8 organizations in San Diego County to receive a grant through the program aimed to improve the lives  of veterans through art.

The Veterans Initiative in the Arts (VIA)  is the California Arts Council’s newest program that provides support for nonprofit arts organizations and veterans’ assistance agencies that positively impact military and their families. The support received from the VIA is  extremely beneficial to our mission as all Semper Sound services are provided to military members free of charge. The grant will help fund our Semper Sound programs at the Navy Medical Center San Diego, OASIS, Aspire Center, and the Wounded Warrior Battalion West.
