COMMUNITY
MUSIC MAKING

Semper Sound Community increases resiliency and quality of life through building musical skills, designing strategies for emotional and mental well-being, and creative collaboration.

We understand your service to our country is unique. The experiences and challenges service members and their families face are unlike any other. Then transitioning from the military back into civilian life, brings a new wave of obstacles. Navigating the VA systems, struggling to find employment, forming new relationships, and learning how to interact with those who do not have your same experiences and training, can be frustrating. And this transition to civilian life never quite ends, while the experience of being a veteran changes continuously.

Semper Sound offers a spectrum of music engagement, from informal jam sessions and songwriting workshops to one-on-one clinical sessions.

“Attending this class boosted my confidence in playing the ukulele, and my skills have improved a lot since I took this class. I greatly appreciated that Cory offered suggestions on how I can engage my boys using the ukulele. I can say that the best and most joyful thing I got from this class is learning how to bond with my kids through music.”

Our program focuses on what YOU need.

Regardless if you’re in the mood to shred guitar, hit some drums, sing your heart out, or simply take some deep breaths, we are here for you.  Music therapy takes your interests, your wants, your needs, and your love of music to strategically design a therapeutic plan that works for you. We focus on the process to help you reach your goals.

Semper Sound welcomes all military-connected individuals and families regardless of disability rating, discharge status, reserve status, or any other red tape/paperwork.

Come make music with us!

“Cory is a great instructor. He breaks everything down in way that someone with no knowledge of the instrument can understand. He also makes each lesson enjoyable by only focusing on what you want to. I really appreciate him and the work he does.”

We also enjoy connecting with our community through concerts, interactive events, and hosting booths at resource fairs.
